Today I want to discuss in detail the HTC One M8s , whose announcement was met with some confusion on the smartphone community, and compare it with the One M8 . Unlike what you might think with your name, the HTC One M8s is not only a distinct terminal HTC One M8 last year , but rather a significantly modified version. The design of the HTC One M8 and the M8s is practically identical.
Although it has a very similar appearance in terms of exterior design, has another camera, different processor, larger battery, and an official relationship substantially lower prices.Image of HTC One M8s running.
Here is all the information including price, release date and specs, that is, all you need to know about the HTC One M8s.
HTC One M8s price and release date
The HTC One M8s are being launched at a price of 379 pounds in the UK, about 518 €, and its US launch has not yet been confirmed. This is considerably cheaper than the 579 pounds (€ 791) of the original M8 when it first came out last year. With that said, I must say that today you can find the M8 for about a € 478 on a lot of websites, so the price difference between the two is almost negligible.
Design and body of the HTC One M8s
With very similar to HTC One M8 and M9 design not much new to say about HTC One M8s, which has the same appearance as the One M8.
The One M8s has a design of a single all-metal body. It is very light and thin, one thicker than 0.2 mm M8, possibly due to its larger battery, and otherwise retains the same quality design we know and love.
Software HTC One M8sThe interface and the guts of the device have differences with the standard m8.
Unlike the M8 One, HTC One M8s comes standard with Android 5.0 Lollipop. However, Lollipop is already present in the One M8 for a few months, so there is no difference between the two on this front.
There will, no doubt, a certain disappointment with the One M8s, which comes with Sense 6.0 instead of ever custom Sense UI 7 comes with the HTC One M9. HTC has confirmed however that Sense 7 will make its appearance soon on the M8 One and One M8s, probably sometime in May.
Cameras HTC One M8s
The camera is the most significant difference between the two models. The M8s have a 13MP camera Duo, replacing 4 MP camera ‘UltraPixel’ standard M8. As in the One M8, the Duo camera can read the depth information on images, which allows some interesting effects, such as effects ‘bokeh’.

Many people complained about the quality of the camera in the One M8, so that switching to 13MP is certainly an attempt to repair what many see as the failed experiment UltraPixel. On the front of the One M8s incorporates a 5MP camera.
Battery HTC One M8s
One of the highlights in the HTC One M8s aspects is the battery, which rises to 2,840 mAh. As with the chipset, we will test the device to judge whether this is an improvement over the 2500 mAh One M8. The chipset in the M8s, is known to have a lower energy efficiency than in the One M8, so that the improvement in battery could simply be compensated.
Specifications of HTC One M8S
The most intriguing feature of M8s is the octa-core Snapdragon processor 615, which on paper sounds more powerful than the Snapdragon 801 within the One M8. However, the Snapdragon 801 is well known to be a very efficient set of chips, and has a speed of 2.3 GHz, while the Snapdragon 615 cores are clocked at 1.7 GHz only.
